Matthew

6: 2"So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as (hōsper) the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
6: 7"When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as (hōsper) the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
12: 40For just as (hōsper) Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so for three days and three nights the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth.
