Verb kathezomai (to sit) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

26: 55At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a bandit? Day after day I sat (kathezomai) in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me.

Luke

2: 46After three days they found him in the temple, sitting (kathezomai) among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.

John

4: 6Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired out by his journey, was sitting (kathezomai) by the well. It was about noon.
11: 20When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, while Mary was sitting (kathezomai) at home.
20: 12and she saw two angels in white, sitting (kathezomai) where the body of Jesus had been lying, one at the head and the other at the feet.

Acts

6: 15And all who sat (kathezomai) in the council looked intently at him, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
20: 9A young man named Eutychus, who was sitting (kathezomai) in the window, began to sink off into a deep sleep while Paul talked still longer. Overcome by sleep, he fell to the ground three floors below and was picked up dead.
