Conjunction mēpote (less that, whether perhaps) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

4: 6saying to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, 'He will command his angels concerning you,' and 'On their hands they will bear you up, less that (mēpote) you will dash your foot against a stone.'"
5: 25Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way to court with him, less that (mēpote) your accuser might hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.
7: 6"Do not give what is holy to dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, less that (mēpote) they might trample them under foot and turn and maul you.
