Verb peithō (to persuade, to thrust) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

27: 20Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded (peithō) the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.
27: 43He trusts (peithō) in God; let God deliver him now, if he wants to; for he said, 'I am God's Son.'"
28: 14If this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade (peithō) him and keep you out of trouble."

Luke

11: 22But when one stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted (peithō) and divides his plunder.
16: 31He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded (peithō) even if someone rises from the dead.'"
18: 9He also told this parable to some who trusted (peithō) in themselves that they were righteous and regarded others with contempt:
20: 6But if we say, 'Of human origin,' all the people will stone us; for they are persuaded (peithō) that John was a prophet."

Acts

5: 36For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him; but he was killed, and all those he persuaded (peithō) were dispersed and disappeared.
