Verb phōneō (to call, to cry) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

20: 32Jesus stood still and called (phōneō) them, saying, "What do you want me to do for you?"
26: 34Jesus said to him, "Truly I tell you, this very night, before the cock cries (phōneō), you will deny me three times."
26: 74Then he began to curse, and he swore an oath, "I do not know the man!" At that moment the cock cried (phōneō).
26: 75Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said: "Before the cock cries (phōneō), you will deny me three times." And he went out and wept bitterly.
27: 47When some of the bystanders heard it, they said, "This man is calling (phōneō) for Elijah."

Mark
