Verb plēroō (to fill, to fulfill, to complete) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

1: 22All this took place to fulfill (plēroō) what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
2: 15and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill (plēroō) what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, "Out of Egypt I have called my son."
2: 17Then was fulfilled (plēroō) what had been spoken through the prophet Jeremiah:
2: 23There he made his home in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled (plēroō), "He will be called a Nazorean."
3: 15But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for it is proper for us in this way to fulfill (plēroō) all righteousness." Then he consented.
4: 14so that what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled (plēroō):
5: 17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill (plēroō).

Mark

Luke

Acts

1: 16"Friends, the scripture had to be fulfilled (plēroō), which the Holy Spirit through David foretold concerning Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus

2 John

1: 12Although I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink; instead I hope to come to you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be completed (plēroō).
