Matthew
| 9: 17 | Neither is new wine put into old wineskins; otherwise, the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins are destroyed; but new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved (syntēreō)." |
Mark
| 6: 20 | for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he preserved (syntēreō) him. When he heard him, he was greatly perplexed; and yet he liked to listen to him. |
