| 2: 18 | For we wanted (thelō) to come to you - certainly I, Paul, - and once and twice but Satan blocked our way. |
| 4: 13 | But we do not want (thelō) you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. |
2 Thessalonians
| 3: 10 | For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: Anyone who does not want (thelō) to work should not eat. |

| 2: 13 | for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to want (thelō) and to work for his good pleasure. |
1 Corinthians
| 4: 19 | But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wants (thelō), and I will find out not the talk of these arrogant people but their power. |
| 4: 21 | What do you want (thelō)? Am I to come to you with a stick, or with love in a spirit of gentleness? |
| 7: 7 | I would want (thelō) that all were as I myself am. But each has a particular gift from God, one having one kind and another a different kind. |
| 7: 32 | I want (thelō) you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord; |
| 7: 36 | If anyone thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his fiancée, if his passions are strong, and so it has to be, let him marry as he wants (thelō) it; it is no sin. Let them marry. |
| 7: 39 | A wife is bound as long as her husband lives. But if the husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wants (thelō), only in the Lord. |
| 10: 1 | I do not want (thelō) you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, |
| 10: 20 | No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want (thelō) you to be partners with demons. |
| 10: 27 | If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want (thelō) it, eat whatever is set before you without raising any question on the ground of conscience. |
| 11: 3 | But I want (thelō) you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the husband is the head of his wife, and God is the head of Christ. |
| 12: 1 | Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want (thelō) you to be uninformed. |
| 12: 18 | But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he wanted (thelō). |
| 14: 5 | Now I would want (thelō) for all of you to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. One who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. |
| 14: 19 | nevertheless, in church I would rather want (thelō) to speak five words with my mind, in order to instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. |
| 14: 35 | If there is anything they want (thelō) to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. |
| 15: 38 | But God gives it a body as he has wanted (thelō), and to each kind of seed its own body. |
| 16: 7 | I do not want (thelō) to see you now just in passing, for I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. |

| 1: 8 | We do not want (thelō) you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of the affliction we experienced in Asia; for we were so utterly, unbearably crushed that we despaired of life itself. |
| 5: 4 | For while we are still in this tent, we groan under our burden, because we want (thelō) not to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. |
| 8: 10 | And in this matter I am giving my advice: it is appropriate for you who began last year not only to do something but even to want (thelō) to do something |
| 8: 11 | now finish doing it, so that the eagerness of what you want (thelō) may be matched by completing it according to your means. |
| 11: 12 | And what I do I will also continue to do, in order to deny an opportunity to those who want (thelō) an opportunity to be recognized as our equals in what they boast about. |
| 12: 6 | But if I want (thelō) to boast, I will not be a fool, for I will be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think better of me than what is seen in me or heard from me, |
| 12: 20 | For I fear that when I come, I may find you not as I want (thelō), and that you may find me not as you want (thelō); I fear that there may perhaps be quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder. |
Galatians
| 1: 7 | not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want (thelō) to pervert the gospel of Christ. |
| 3: 2 | The only thing I want (thelō) to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard? |
| 4: 9 | Now, however, that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and beggarly elemental spirits? How can you want (thelō) to be enslaved to them again? |
| 4: 17 | They make much of you, but for no good purpose; they want (thelō) to exclude you, so that you may make much of them. |
| 4: 20 | I would want (thelō) to be present with you now and could change my tone, for I am perplexed about you. |
| 4: 21 | Tell me, you who want (thelō) to be subject to the law, will you not listen to the law? |
| 5: 17 | For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want (thelō). |
| 6: 12 | It is those who want (thelō) to make a good showing in the flesh that try to compel you to be circumcised - only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. |
| 6: 13 | Even the circumcised do not themselves obey the law, but they want (thelō) you to be circumcised so that they may boast about your flesh. |
Romans
| 1: 13 | I want (thelō) you to know, brothers and sisters, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as I have among the rest of the Gentiles. |
| 7: 15 | I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want (thelō), but I do the very thing I hate. |
| 7: 16 | Now if I do what I do not want (thelō), I agree that the law is good. |
| 7: 18 | For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can want (thelō) what is right, but I cannot do it. |
| 7: 19 | For I do not do the good I want (thelō), but the evil I do not want (thelō) is what I do. |
| 7: 20 | Now if I do what I do not want (thelō), it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me. |
| 7: 21 | So I find it to be a law that when I want (thelō) to do what is good, evil lies close at hand. |
| 9: 16 | So it depends not on if I want (thelō) or run, but on God who shows mercy. |
| 9: 18 | So then he has mercy on whomever he wants (thelō), and he hardens the heart of whomever he wants (thelō). |
| 9: 22 | What if God, wanting (thelō) to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects of wrath that are made for destruction; |
| 11: 25 | So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters, I want (thelō) you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. |
| 13: 3 | For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want (thelō) to have no fear of the authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive its approval; |
| 16: 19 | For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want (thelō) you to be wise in what is good and guileless in what is evil. |
Philemon
| 1: 14 | but I wanted (thelō) to do nothing without your consent, in order that your good deed might be voluntary and not something forced. |
