Matthew

5: 23So when you are offering your gift at the altar (thysiastērion), if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,
5: 24leave your gift there before the altar (thysiastērion) and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.
23: 18And you say, 'Whoever swears by the altar (thysiastērion) is bound by nothing, but whoever swears by the gift that is on it is bound by the oath.'
23: 19How blind you are! For which is greater, the gift or the altar (thysiastērion) that makes the gift sacred?
23: 20So whoever swears by the altar (thysiastērion), swears by it and by everything on it;
23: 35so that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar (thysiastērion).
